The Women's Super League club are finalising sealing the deal for prolific Germany striker Lea Schüller in a permanent move from the Frauen-Bundesliga champions.
The forward, with six months remaining on her contract, is known as a consistent goalscorer for her club and the national team. Having scored more than 100 goals for the German giants and scored 54 times in 82 caps for Germany. This signing will be seen as a marquee coup for the Women’s Super League team.
Her exit from Munich has been anticipated after she was seen fighting back tears while applauding the German club’s fans after a win over Bayer Leverkusen recently.
It was reported in late December that the German women's top flight was losing one of its top forwards. According to reports, the formalities for the move have now been completed.
