Much like the recent storm swept through the north-west the night before, City swept the visitors away at the their home ground. It was a convincing three-nil victory for their manager's side due to goals from Rebecca Knaak, Bunny Shaw and Hemp. It was a result that firmly established their championship potential as they strengthened their position at the league summit.
