I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
